Celebrate gardening, nature and butterflies. Visit the Dr. Bill Roston Native Butterfly House and caterpillar petting zoo, enter the pollinator costume contest, “pollinate” flowers, see the Fishin’ Magicians, observe ladybugs and more. Gray-Campbell Farmstead and Liberty School open for tours.
At the height of the season, visit the Daylily Garden, nationally registered as an American Hemerocallis Display Garden, with more than 800 named varieties of daylilies. The Ozark Daylily Society presents a flower display in the Botanical Center.
Musical guests perform at the new Peace Through People Pavilion. Bring your own blankets and lawn chairs. Donations benefit garden projects.

Linda Siler is the Water Garden Specialist at Wickman’s Garden Center. Linda will present a program about water gardening container style. Participants will come away with new ideas ideas on container types, plants, and fish for smaller water gardens. Linda’s programs are always very creative and full of new ideas.
Bring your favorite stuffed toy for an evening at the Springfield Botanical Gardens celebrating National Teddy Bear Picnic Day. Pack a picnic supper and blanket, and enjoy music, games and popsicles. We’ll sing the Teddy Bears Picnic song at 7 p.m. Free, but registration is requested at ParkBoard.org.
