“The bloom of the week is the ‘Butterflies’ Magnolia blooming in the Winter Garden and near the daylilies. It is a hybrid of our native Cucumber Magnolia and the Yulan Magnolia. Because it blooms a little later in the season, it sometimes has a better chance of getting through the frost season. This tree will grow to about 20’ tall and has lemony yellow flowers and fragrance.
Crabapples, redbud, serviceberry and viburnum continue to bloom, as well as many of the spring flowering bulbs throughout the garden.“
