“The beginning of May is the best time to see Iris and Peony collections. We have over 50 bearded iris and 100 peony in our collection gardens. However, it is recommended seeing these plants in a garden setting, combined with other plants that fill in with blooms before and after their season. Look for bearded iris in the English, White, Federated Garden Clubs Gardens. Yellow flag iris are currently blooming in the Japanese Garden. In coming weeks, look for native blue flag in the rain garden and native copper iris in the wildflower area.”
