From Springfield\, a monarch can travel about 1\,600 miles to its overwintering site in Mexico. \nHelp local experts: tag a butterfly\, release it\, and receive the tag code and information form Monarch Watch so you can track if and when the butterfly is found. This hands-on program from the University of Kansas is a unique opportunity for all ages to learn about monarchs\, their habitat\, life cycle\, and amazing migration.
