SUMMARY:2018 Learn to Grow in the Garden Series: Roses
DESCRIPTION:We love our rose garden here at the Botanical Gardens\, and are excited to present William Aldrich\, Master Gardener and Curator\, Springfield Botanical Gardens’ Rose Garden as this month’s presenter. The rose holds a unique place in horticulture—cherished for its beautiful blooms\, feared for its thorns\, scorned by many homeowners for its seemingly daunting care routine. Join Bill for a look at how to succeed with garden roses—from those that care for themselves to those that prefer more than a little nurturing. Take a walk to the Rose Garden for an olfactory treat and meet our newest “treasure”—Elizabeth of Glamis. (Weather permitting)
