Peter Longley, a graduate in theology from Cambridge University, is a highly respected author and sought after speaker. Horticulture has always been a prime interest and from 1966-77 he was the estate manager of Tullamaine Castle in Ireland before embarking on a twenty-five year career as a cruise director and global port lecturer. Now retired, he writes novels. The Friends of the Garden is privileged to count Peter among it's members. To broaden his horticultural knowledge one of his winter projects was to complete the Master Gardener Training Course. Peter has graciously consented to share a portion of what has been presented during his time in the Master Gardener training class. It will be easy to follow Peter's synopsis of each weekly class.
